Privacy and Cookies Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This document accurately describes what Kryzon.io currently does with your data. You can play quick matches as a guest without anything being stored on a server; creating an account is optional, and that's when the data described in section 2 gets stored.
1. Data controller
Kryzon.io. For any question related to this policy or your data, you can write to contact@kryzon.io.
2. What data we process, and why
If you play as a guest, without creating an account:
-
Nickname and character appearance. You choose these freely when you start
playing; we don't verify them or link them to your real identity. They're stored in your own
browser's local storage (
localStorage) to remember them on your next visit, and sent to our server only while you're connected to a match - they're never stored in any database. -
Game preferences (volume, crosshair, blood effects, etc.). Same as above:
these only live in your browser's
localStorage.
If you decide to create an account (optional, needed to play ranked and save your progress), we additionally store in our database:
- Username and email. Whatever you provide when registering.
- Password. Never stored in plain text - it's stored encrypted (hashed) so that not even we can read it.
- Two-step verification, only if you turn it on: your authenticator app's key and your recovery codes, the latter stored hashed.
- Chosen skin and trail, and cosmetics purchased or unlocked.
- Game stats (kills, deaths, assists, score, matches played, season and challenge progress) and a history of your matches, including which other players took part in each one.
- Friends list and friend requests. Who's added you as a friend and who you've added.
- Private messages between friends and match invites. The content of the messages you send to your friends, and the Duelo/Dúo match invites you send or receive.
- Coin balance (the game's virtual currency, with no real monetary value - see the Terms and Conditions).
-
Signed-in session. A session token is stored in your browser's
localStorageto keep you signed in between visits, same as a guest's nickname/appearance.
In both cases, additionally:
- IP address. Processed transiently on the server, as with any online service, and used exclusively for anti-abuse measures (limiting how many simultaneous connections or requests a single IP can make, and in ranked matches, preventing two players on the same network from ending up in the same match). It's not stored in any database: it only exists in the server's memory for the duration of your connection.
- Technical error reports. If the game hits an unexpected error, a technical report (which may include your IP, browser/operating system, and an error trace) is automatically sent to Sentry, our error-monitoring provider, for the sole purpose of detecting and fixing problems.
3. Legal basis
We process guest data on the basis of legitimate interest in the proper functioning, security, and continuous improvement of the service. Registered-account data is additionally processed for the performance of the contract you accept when creating it (see the Terms and Conditions): providing that account, its statistics, and ranked play.
4. Retention
- Data in
localStorage(guest, preferences, signed-in session): stays in your browser until you delete it or sign out. - Account data (database): kept for as long as the account exists, until you request its deletion.
- IP address: not stored; processed only in memory for the duration of the connection.
- Error reports: per Sentry's own retention policy.
5. Who the data is shared with
Only with Sentry, as processor for the technical error reports described above. We don't share data with anyone else, and we don't use third-party analytics or advertising.
6. Your rights
You can access, rectify, delete, or object to the processing of your data by writing to
contact@kryzon.io - for a registered account, including
its complete deletion from the database. If you only play as a guest, the most direct way to
delete your data is to clear this site's browsing data (localStorage) from your
own browser.
7. Cookie policy
Kryzon.io doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. We only use the browser's
localStorage - a different technology from cookies, but with a similar purpose -
to remember your nickname, your character appearance, your game options and, if you're signed
in, your session token to keep you connected.
It's strictly necessary for the game to work as expected (so you don't have to redo that setup
every time you come back) and isn't used to track you or for advertising purposes.
Because of that strictly functional nature, we don't need to ask for your active consent to use it. Even so, we let you know with a notice the first time you visit the site. If third-party analytics or advertising were ever added in the future, this policy would be updated and explicit consent would be requested before enabling it.
